Learn NZSL (New Zealand Sign Language) Online with MySign!

Join our immersive online NZSL course via MySign and experience interactive learning with a certified NZSL teacher! This course is perfect for students who have completed the Beginner (Part 4) online course or Beginner 1c onsite course, totalling approximately 35 - 45 hours of NZSL tuition.

Course Outline:

• Level/units: NZSL Beginner - Part 5 (Level 1, Unit 9)
• Duration: Every Tuesday for 8 weeks - August 13th, 20th, 27th; September 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th and October 1st
• Course fee: $140 incl. electronic handouts/homework
• Teacher: Janine Campbell

What You'll Learn:

Unit 9 - Everyday Activities

• Communicate about events, celebrations and holidays
• Talk about destinations (places) and modes of travel
• Describe and discuss plans
• Make interruptions (e.g. ask a third person for information or suggest a different idea)
• Wrap up activities, review, final activity and/or event

Additionally, you'll have completed a thorough review of Level 1.

Important Notes:

• Registering online secures your spot in the course. A minimum number of students is required; if not met, the course may be postponed or cancelled.

• After registration, you'll receive a confirmation email with the Zoom link for the course. Check your spam folder if you don't see it.
• All you need is a computer/laptop with a webcam and internet connection. Please note that tablets, chromebook and mobiles are not recommended.
• A Certificate of Attendance will be issued upon meeting 80% attendance (6 out of 8 classes).
• Funding from Employers: Consider approaching your employer for professional development funding. If your organisation is covering the course fee, please email us with their Reference/Purchase Order number (mysign@mergenz.co.nz).
