Deaf Culture Workshop

A professional development workshop opportunity for people who are working with Deaf people including Deaf children. You could be managers, chief executives, teachers, social workers, support workers, bus drivers or anyone that interact with Deaf and hard of hearing people in your lives.

This 2 hours crash course will give you useful knowledge and practical understanding on Deaf community, different perspectives on Deaf (medical vs cultural perspectives), how to interact with Deaf people using different communication styles including NZSL.

The workshop will cost $35 per person and you will receive a handout to take home.
