MySign NZSL Online - Adv 4

Continue learning NZSL online via MySign!

You will have an online class with qualified NZSL tutor to teach you and it is fully interactive - just online! 8 weeks online course starting Monday, 27th September 6.30pm - 8.00pm. This is suitable for students who have completed  Advanced (Part 3) online or Level 3c onsite.

Dates: 27/9, 4/10, 11/10, 18/10 (no class on 25/10 - Labour Day).

Class will resume as from 1/11, 8/11, 15/11 and 22/11. 

Course fee:  $150 for full 8 week class

NZSL Tutor: Victoria Lessing (Deaf qualified tutor)

Level: Advanced (Level 3, Unit 24 and 25)

At the end of this course, NZSL Advanced students will learn:

Explaining rules - Unit 24

· give   clear instructions or explanations using classifiers and conditional   sentences, rhetorical questions and relative clauses along with “rule”   related vocabularies (e.g. driving rules for party games, cultural rules,   school rules, card games, children’s games, etc.).

· develop   strategies for explaining rules while playing the game and using appropriate   attention getting behaviours to manage the group during a game.

Storytelling - Unit 25

· develop characters in storytelling

· practice role-shifting character’s   reactions / comments

· understanding special features in   storytelling (i.e. repeated sequence of actions, rhythmic sign movement,   onomatopoeia and metamorphosis)
