NZSL for Health Online - Part 1

Learn NZSL (New Zealand Sign Language) online via MySign!

Join a qualified NZSL teacher for an interactive 3-week crash course designed specifically for health professionals. Gain essential health-related signs to effectively communicate with Deaf and hard of hearing patients and clients. This course is suitable for beginners with no prior knowledge of NZSL.

Duration: Every Monday for 3 weeks 23rd September - 7th October 

Course Fee: $170 incl. weekly e-handout, homework and e-certificate of attendance.

What You'll Learn:

Week 1 - Initial Consultation

Week 2 - Body & Physical examination

Week 3 - Medication and Treatment

Important Notes:

• Registering online secures your spot in the course. A minimum number of students is required; if not met, the course may be postponed or cancelled. Please review our cancellation policy.
• All you need is a computer/laptop with a webcam and an internet connection. Please note that tablets (such as Chromebook) and mobile devices are not suitable for online learning.
• After registration, you'll receive a confirmation email with the Zoom link for the course. Check your spam folder if you don't see it.
• A Certificate of Attendance will be issued upon meeting 80% attendance (8 out of 9 classes).
• Funding from Employers: Consider approaching your employer for professional development funding. If your organisation is covering the course fee, please email us with their Reference/Purchase Order number (mysign@mergenz.co.nz).
