NZSL Hybrid Course - Papamoa - Int 2d

Join and learn New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL) course in Papamoa!

NZSL is a beautiful language, and an official language of NZ. This is a NZSL intermediate 2d course - suitable for students who have completed intermediate 2c course. Certificate of Attendance and will be issued at the end of the course*.

Days: Thursday, 6pm to 7.30pm

Dates:  11/5, 18/5, 25/5, 1/6, 8/6 and 15/6 (6 Weeks)

Level: NZSL Int 2d (Unit 16 and 17)

Cost: $75 for 6 week course incl. handout/homework

Learning outcomes:

By the end of this 2d course, learners will learn:

Class 2d - Unit 16 to 17

Unit 16 - Our Country

• report and discuss key demographic facts about New Zealand
• explain and contrast an everyday ritual/event in your culture
• describe and recount experiences about New Zealand outdoor activities (e.g. camping, boating)

Unit 17 - Travel and destinations

• describe and contrast information about NZ and overseas travel destinations (e.g. geographical environment, attractions, activities, costs)
• narrate personal experiences with travel-related incidents (e.g. delays, natural disasters, illnesses or mishaps)
• negotiate tasks for planning a trip (e.g. dates, itinerary, booking travel and accommodation, packing)

Notes:

*Certificate of Attendance are on request and with 80% attendance being meet. Please note that registering online confirms your place in the course. Minimum number of students applies - if minimum numbers are not meet course may be postponed or cancelled. Please read our cancellation policy.
