NZSL Online course - Int (Part 2)

Learn NZSL (New Zealand Sign Language) online via MySign!

You will have an online class with qualified NZSL tutor to teach you and it is fully interactive - just online! 8 weeks online course starting Thursday, 26th January, 6.30pm - 8.00pm. This is suitable for students who have completed between 60 - 70 hours of NZSL or have completed Intermediate (Part 1) online or Level 2a onsite.

Dates: 26/1, 2/2, 9/2, 16/2, 23/2, 2/3, 9/3 and 16/3

Course fee:  $150 for full 8 week class incl. weekly e-handouts/homework

Level: NZSL Intermediate - part 2 (Level 2, Units 12 and 13)

At the end of course, learners will learn:

Unit 12 - My Workplace

• Compare various jobs and work conditions
• Describe personal qualities and skills required for work roles
• Explain simple instructions for common work-related tasks
• Demonstrate appropriate ways to interact with Deaf people in workplaces

Unit 13 - Leisure Time

• Recount personal experiences about recreation, sports, hobbies and interests
• Discuss, agree, announce and explain information about leisure
• Give simple instructions or rules for an activity or game
• Explain goals for future   activities/skills: wish list and reasons

Notes:

Please note that registering online confirms your place in the course. Minimum number of students applies - if minimum numbers are not meet course may be postponed or cancelled. Please read our cancellation policy. When the registration is completed you will receive a confirmation email with details such as zoom link to join the course, check spam folder if you didn't receive the email. Certificate of Attendance will be sent out at the end of course with 80% attendance being meet (6 out of 8 classes).

If your organisation/company is paying for your course fee, please email us and provide us their Reference/Purchase Order number. We have funding for some people to learn NZSL for free of charge, please contact us by sending email to mysign@mergenz.co.nz about that so you can receive the confirmation whether if you are eligible to enrol for free of charge.
