About The Course

Join and learn New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL) course in Dunedin!

NZSL is a beautiful language, and an official language of NZ. This is a NZSL Intermediate 2c course - suitable for students who have completed NZSL Intermediate 2b course. Certificate of Attendance and will be issued at the end of the course*.

Days: Thursdays, 6:00pm - 8:00pm

Dates: 8th August to 3rd October 2024 (No class on 12th September)

Level: NZSL Int 2c (Units 14 - 15)

Cost: $170 for 8 week course incl. handout/homework 

Learning outcomes:

By the end of this 2c course, learners will:

Unit 14 - All About Services

  • describe needs for everyday services (e.g. repair car, electrician)
  • discuss services and utilities provided (e.g. prices, experiences, quality)
  • express and respond to concerns and advice about services
  • make suggestions and recommend services

Unit 15 - Health & Wellbeing

  • explain common illnesses and suggest treatments
  • discuss and give opinions about general health and wellbeing issues
  • describe simple personal experiences about health and wellbeing.

Notes:

*Certificate of Attendance are on request and with 80% attendance being meet. Please note that registering online confirms your place in the course. Minimum number of students applies - if minimum numbers are not meet course may be postponed or cancelled. Please read our cancellation policy.
