NZSL Online course - Int (Part 4)

Learn NZSL (New Zealand Sign Language) online via MySign!

You will have an online class with qualified NZSL tutor to teach you and it is fully interactive - just online! 8 weeks online course starting Tuesday, 23rd August 5.30pm - 7.00pm. This is suitable for students who have completed Intermediate (Part 3) online or Level 2c onsite (approx. 70 hours of NZSL).

You just need a computer/laptop with webcam and an internet connection and you have everything you need. Tablets and mobiles are not recommended for online learning.

Dates: 23rd August to 11th October

Course fee:  $150 for full 8 week class incl. weekly handouts/homework

Level: NZSL Intermediate - Part 4 (Level 2, Units 16 & 17)

At the end of this course, learners will learn: 

Unit 16 - Our country

• Report and discuss key demographic facts about New Zealand
• Explain and contrast an everyday ritual/event in your culture
• Describe and recount experiences about New Zealand outdoor activities (e.g.
• Camping, boating)

Unit 17 - Travel and destinations

• Describe and contrast information about NZ and overseas travel destinations (e.g. Geographical environment, attractions, activities, costs)
• Narrate personal experiences with travel‐related incidents (e.g. Delays, natural disasters, illnesses or mishaps)
• Negotiate tasks for planning a trip (e.g. Dates, itinerary, booking travel and accommodation, packing)

Please note registering online confirms your registration and commits you to the course. We will go ahead once we have reached the min number of participants (a min number is 4 participants is required).
