NZSL Week is celebrated by New Zealanders each year in the first full week of May. This was established following the NZSL Act being recognised as an official language in 2006. This year's theme: "An Aotearoa Where Anyone Can Sign Anywhere."

NZSL for Water Safety
In partnership with Global Swim and Merge NZ, we're excited to announce our upcoming course: "NZSL for Water Safety."
Tailored for aquatic rescue team members and water activity leaders, this course equips participants with essential vocabulary and phrases for effective communication in water-related scenarios.

Experience interactive learning with a qualified NZSL teacher in our 3-week online crash course for Emergency Service staff.
Learn essential emergency-related signs to communicate effectively with Deaf survivors/community members. Receive weekly handouts/homework.

The NZSL for Health online course is designed for Health Professionals. You will learn health-related signs that will help you communicate with your Deaf patients and clients who use NZSL.
There are two different levels to suit your needs:

NZSL Onsite courses
Want to commit and learn NZSL longer? Sign up for a 8-week in person course in your home area either in Kerikeri, Waipu, Hamilton, Omokoroa, Tauranga, Lower Hutt (Pentone), Christchurch, Dunedin or Invercargill. The course fee is from $140 includes electronic handouts. If you cannot find any NZSL course in your area, join our MySign NZSL Online course.
There are different levels to suit your signing skills (from Beginners to Advanced (levels).
